Tru by Hilton Florida City

I love staying at all the TRU’s but Florida city is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The breakfast was outstanding, organized and the pancake machine was the best part — breakfast lady Martina was kind and had everything fully loaded. Staff was also amazing. Ebony was very helpful and lovely. Allowed me to have a late checkout which worked out great - rooms were great as well — overall best experience !

After a long day of travel, Tru by Hilton Florida City was the perfect place to rest before continuing our journey to the Florida Keys. Conveniently located just about 40 minutes south of Miami International Airport, the location couldn't have been better. We appreciated the free parking, complimentary hot breakfast, and exceptionally friendly, articulate staff. The rooms were spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It was everything we needed for a relaxing overnight stay. We’ll definitely be back!

I was really impressed with my stay here. Room was top-notch, good breakfast selection, the lobby had a very chill/laidback setting; all for a fair price. Will stop by whenever I’m heading down to the keys again.

We stayed for two nights because of its strategic location between Key West and the Everglades National Park, and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean, with an excellent gym and a good breakfast. Great value for money — highly recommended!

My experience at the Tru in Florida City was amazing. This is my go to hotel in the Homestead-Florida Keys area. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The amenities are great and it’s nice to have access to the pool at the Home2 Suites right next door. My experience with Ebony, the front desk agent was immaculate! Ebony is attentive, compassionate, and understanding! She truly goes above and beyond for every guest staying at the Tru and always makes sure she can accommodate date you and your needs the best way that she can. I would recommend this hotel to any potential guest looking for a exceptional stay in the area.

We had our daughter’s first birthday party in Tru’s Lobby, Liz from sales was amazing from the very beginning, provided us with different options, great prices. We rented Tru’s lobby, and it was amazing, we had 30 guests + children and it had more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable. They provided us with tea, water and coffee station. The front desk was helpful throughout the entire night, they didn’t bother us in any way, made us very comfortable, very quickly responded to requests, overall it was wonderful and if we ever needed a space again we would rent here again. They are truly amazing.

Great location for day trips to Biscayne Bay NP, Everglades NP and Key Largo. The hotel room was great, love the hardwood floors and the bathroom showers. My favorite box to check at a hotel is...is it clean? Yes very much so. Comfort of beds and pillows is very subjective, these were functional and did their job. The lobby has an area for lounging, which doubles as seating area for breakfast. The hotel offers free breakfast and they also offer a selection of priced for convenience snacks. The breakfast could be improved upon. If you are looking for a large selection, this isn't your place. The improvement could be in the fresh breads/pastries area, only option one day was a few everything bagels and wheat bread. The next day was only wheat bread. No pastries or muffins to be had either day. The fresh fruit consisted of small red apples. They did offer scrambled eggs (prefabed omelets one day), pork sausage, oatmeal and a pancake maker. Again, It was free so didn't complain. You can use the pool at the Home2 suites next door and there is a Cracker Barrel restaurant, Walgreens & Starbucks nearby. The front desk is VERY helpful. I have to say it was fantastic customer service. Thank you! We would stay again if in the area. Odd number rooms face the Home2 hotel, Even number rooms face the front of the hotel on Krome St.

Rooms do not have microwaves or ice buckets. That said, great location, quiet, rooms were beautifully cleaned and hosts were exceedingly helpful. Minimalist rooms with a huge common area on the first floor. Incredible shower with great pressure and plenty of hot water. Tru to the niche.

We booked a room block here for our wedding, and the experience was incredible from beginning to end. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help—our guests felt genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout their stay. Every detail was handled smoothly, which made the entire process completely stress-free for us. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and extremely comfortable. So many of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the accommodations and service. It truly made our wedding weekend even more enjoyable. We’re beyond grateful for the hotel’s hospitality and professionalism. We highly recommend this property to anyone planning a wedding or group event—you’ll be in great hands!

I wish I could give this hotel 10 stars! Amanda, Emmanuel, the entire management team, as well as the cleaning staff are so kind! They go over and beyond to create such an amazing experience for their guests! They have spoiled me with their amazing service! Thank you all for being so kind!
